Abercrombie Caves Visitors Centre construction
This project involved the refurbishment of the former caretaker’s cottage at Abercrombie Caves, transforming the existing building into a mixed‑use office and visitor facility for the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water.
The works included a comprehensive internal reconfiguration to provide staff office spaces, a visitor information centre, accessible amenities and support areas, along with external upgrades to improve accessibility and visitor circulation. New decking, pathways and outdoor spaces were delivered to enhance engagement with the surrounding landscape.
Completed within an environmentally sensitive and remote location, the project required careful planning, coordination and compliance with accessibility, safety and heritage considerations. The completed facility now provides a functional, durable and welcoming space that supports both operational staff requirements and public visitor use.
